SPINAKER - Heritage, Art And Business

Programme dedicated to increasing the level of internationalization of the University and its cultural openness

SPINAKER - Heritage, Art and Business Intensive Programme

Motto: Art&Business - Double The Pleasure, Double The Art, Double The Business

Main objective

The main objective of the project is to increase the level of internationalization of the University and its cultural openness, by intensifying the quality and availability of an innovative international educational offer that includes elements of popularization of Polish cultural heritage and art.

Specific objectives

  1. To raise the level of education in English-language studies by introducing modules that are innovative in relation to the University's current offer.
  2. Creating an additional element of promotion of the region and the country beyond their borders.
  3. To adapt the mobility of students and employees to the current situation in the global education market.
  4. Expanding the spectrum of interdisciplinary fields of study and research.

Planned effects of implementation

  1. Institutional benefit in the form of increasing the level of interest in and knowledge of Poland, as a country of attractive educational opportunities, Polish culture and art, through the introduction of specialized modules containing subjects of cultural studies and covering the art market in the broadest sense.
  2. Implementation of the program will be decidedly innovative, given the lack of such an offer to date, that is, de facto reducing the niche in this type of education at economic universities.
  3. Expansion of existing and addition of innovative educational programs containing an innovative thematic spectrum, conducted in English and enabling ECTS credits.
  4. A short educational program, ART&BUSINESS, will become the forerunner, prepared at KUE, of a postgraduate program for candidates interested in the art market and art management.
  5. Adjustment of student and staff mobility to the current situation on the global education market, allowing the implementation of an intensive program implemented in a hybrid form - thanks to the flexibility of this form of education, the program will be available to people from universities and partner countries.
  6. Training within the framework of the program of employees of all universities involved.
  7. Acquisition of 140 hours of thematic classes for students, conducted by didacticians from KUE and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in English.
  8. To develop an offer for 40 students of partner universities plus interested KUE students.
  9. Strengthen cooperation with partner universities from countries with below-average mobility.

Value of the project

In addition to the benefits associated with the realization of the project's objectives, which will satisfy the scientific and didactic needs of the holders, at the most measurable level the project's budget amounts to nearly half a million zlotys.

The Project is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the SPINAKER Programme.
