INTENSIVE YEAR-LONG PREPARATORY COURSE IN POLISH

Krakow University of Economics invites to participate in an intensive Polish language course. This program will help you achieve the language proficiency required to enroll in our university. The offer includes 700 hours of classes in small groups and learning with experienced teachers. Applications will be accepted until August 31, 2024 or until places run out. Detailed information below.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS:

DURATION:

October 2024 – June 2025

NUMBER OF HOURS:

Classes take place from Monday to Friday, totaling 4 academic hours (180 minutes) per day. Total number of academic hours: 700.

REQUIRED LANGUAGE LEVEL:

Classes are conducted in small groups. Basic proficiency in Polish language (A1/A2 level) is required to start the course. After completing the course, participants will be able to use Polish at B1 level, which is required for studying at the Krakow University of Economics.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:

12 persons.

MODE AND LOCATION OF CLASSES:

Classes are held on-site at the campus of the Krakow University of Economics.

TARGET COURSE PARTICIPANTS:

The course is intended for foreigners as well as Polish nationals living abroad, planning to study in Polish at the Krakow University of Economics.

The aim of the course is to acquire language skills in Polish as well as specialized vocabulary, including mathematical, economic, and business terminology.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

Required documents (accepted in scanned form):

  • completed application form
  • copy of passport
  • confirmation of payment for the entire course
  • high school diploma (with sworn translation into Polish)

FEE:

The fee for the entire course is 2,500 EUR plus a non-refundable registration fee of 50 EUR.

The fee for the course includes:

  • 700 academic hours of language classes;
  • course book;
  • other teaching materials;
  •  final exam;
  • course completion certificate;
  • certificate (in case of a positive result of the final exam).

The fee does not include:

  • meal costs;
  • accommodation;
  • insurance;

The full fee for the course must be paid upon submission of the application.

APPLICATION:

To enroll in the course, you need to complete the form and attach the required documents and payment confirmation.

Further information will be provided upon receipt of a complete form.

A certificate confirming acceptance to the course, which can be used to apply for a visa, will be issued after receiving the required documents and payment confirmation for the course.

ACCOMMODATION:

There is an option for accommodation in a student dormitory. Limited number of places available.

After completing the one-year preparatory course, participants take the final exam, after which they receive certificates and apply for admission to university studies independently.
