Topic: “Sustainability Challenge”
The world and the global economy are undergoing a fundamental transformation. Traditional business models are giving way to new standards in which financial success must go hand in hand with responsibility. Today, sustainable development is the key to modern innovation and market stability. Sustainable development is an approach based on three pillars (ESG): the economy (circular economy, energy efficiency), society (well-being, ethics), and the environment (responsible management of natural resources and biodiversity protection). Knowledge and skills related to fostering sustainable development are crucial not only for individuals and society as a whole but also for the competitiveness of both specific enterprises and the national economy. The business shift towards ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) has created a demand for sustainability specialists across every sector, from finance to IT and engineering. A student possessing such knowledge becomes a highly sought-after professional.
The program of classes includes, among others, project work in international teams, which gives participants the opportunity to learn about different cultures and gain experience in cooperation in multicultural teams. Teamwork will focus on sustainable development challenges in the area of the circular economy in fashion, urban food waste reduction, renewable energy for SMES, sustainable tourism, plastic-free university campuses, green transport.
