- Grand Valley State University's Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) is a one-year programme offered by School of Public and Non Profit Administration (SPNA)
- the programme is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration and according to the US News and World Report is one of the best programmes in public affairs in the USA
- it is the primary professional degree for the public and nonprofit sector
- the MPA programme develops skills and techniques used by leaders and managers to implement policies, projects, and programmes in public-serving organizations
- as a general management degree, the MPA is similar to the Masters of Business Administration, except the MPA focuses on the finance and management of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, philanthropic institutions, and healthcare providers rather than for-profit corporations

Recruitment is open to:

KUE graduates (up to 2 years after completing the studies)

students of the final year of master studies (the studies at the CUE have to be completed before departure)
Requirements:

KUE master diploma
-
GPA for the whole studies around 4.0
-
fluency in English – TOEFL/IELTS/CAE/CPE is required
Duration of the programme:

middle of August – end of April
Financial issues:

tuition fee is sponsored by GVSU

students receive scholarship that partly covers costs of stay

approximate cost of accommodation is 300$ - 400$ per month
Documents required:

Master diploma with the supplement or transcript of records from the Dean’s office for the whole period of master studies (in case the diploma has not been issued yet)

Bachelor diploma with the supplement

TOEFL/IELTS/CAE/CPE certificate

3 recommendation letters (at least two from academics)

CV in English

cover letter (about 2 pages long) stating the reasons for applying for the MPA programme and student’s career objectives

Recruitment takes place once a year, in January or February. KUE selects top four candidates, GVSU chooses two who will be enrolled in the programme. The results are known by the end of March.
